Michelle Sime (HineAhua Tokootokoo), Rongoa Rakau Practitioner
Michelle
Sime, Your Rongoa Rakau Practitioner is has a Certificate in
Rongoa Maori Appreciation from Te Wananga o Aotearoa, and was
privately trained by Hone Ratana from Te Aroha. She continues
to learn, recently recieving a Diploma in Rongoa from Te Wananga
o Raukawa and graduating as a Tohunga privately in October last
year. She has worked in Marae Rongoa Clinics, and from her home.
Michelle also teaches Rongoa Rakau (Plant medicines) to small
groups and shares her knowledge with several Tohunga.
Michelle
is also an Internationally Certified NeuroSemantics-Neurolinguistic
Programming
(NS-NLP) Master Practitioner (ISNS) NeuroLinguistic Programming
Practitioner (IANLP & NZQA) with L.W. School of Counseling Stages

This is
my given name in 2013 by a man who had been my Maori mentor
and friend since 2005, Paraone Patena Mariu. It is his 5th great
grandmother's name, she who was brought in as support for the
Rangatira. Given to me since I come in as support with the Rongoa.
My lineage is predominantly Scottish and I was born and brought
up in Whangarei though my known line has been in New Zealand
since 1855 and comes from Mission Bay.
I have the Certificate in Rongoa Appreciation (level 4), Rongoa
Heke (level 5) and further training. Predominantly my Rongoa
training and supervision was done initially by Hone Ratana.
Hone has been involved in Rongoa all his life, firstly trained
by his Tuhoe Grandmother . He is from Te Arawa and has worked
in Rongoa Clinics for over 20 years.
From
May 2015-2016 I was priveldged to be under the guidance and
training of Billy Tuhua, a High Tohunga who runs a clinic in
Auckland. I am registered as a Rongoa Practitioner here in New
Zealand. I see clients in Whangarei and run Maori Traditional
Medicine workshops there and in Auckland.
I
also have both a Bachelor Degree of Science in Chemistry with
papers in Health and Nutrition, and one in Psychology and I
am Master Practitioner in NLP. Better Thinking Ltd is my own
business using NLP and Rongoa and I am registered with the NZ
associations of both Rongoa and NLP.
I am passionate
about Rongoa Rakau, and their effectiveness in regaining health.
Alongside my Rongoa Rakau Clinics, I am interested in researching
and collating results to enable Rongoa Rakau to be used more
regularly in public health.
